Christmas time is here!

Oh the holidays! The decorations are up, the lists are made and sent to Santa, and the shopping is done!

Hannah had her first mini-recital of the year at the festival of trees, and we have been attempting to take a family photo. We got to see Santa but we will be visiting another one in Leo later this month. Seth is enjoying school and learning the very hard task of following directions.

Douglas is nearly 3 months old now, which believe me is hard to believe! He is cooing and very fun. He loves to kick his feet...maybe we have a swimmer on our hands! I am enjoying the littleness of him. I know this will be the last baby I have, so the hard tasks are very enjoyable to me.

I am up to running 1.5 miles! yea, only 12.5 more miles to go...(at one time) I am glad the race is 6 months away! I remember when running was fun, I hope that I feel that way again someday.

We are all ready for Christmas, and the New Year! I wish everyone who reads this a very Happy Christmas!

2 months and counting!

Halloween was great! Hannah was Ariel and Seth Captin Rex, a clone trooper! We enjoyed trick-or-treating with Grandma Lynn and Grandpa Bob! Mommy and Dougy stayed in, and handed out treats!

It is amazing how quickly 2 months goes by. Doug is a very happy baby. His personality is quickly developing. Of the 3 kids he is by far the easiest-goin' kid. He rarely is startled by motion or noise, and watches Seth and Hannah with awe. I think he will be trying to get in on all the action as soon as he can. He sleeps better with alot of noise than with quiet. He loves his bath, and cuddle time.

Hannah and Seth are great helpers, but have gotten used to him crying and sometimes ignore it.. or cry along with it. It has been fun so far, and an expecting it to only get better!

A Day in the Life...

So, this is the story of my life, I guess.

As a nutritionally conscious mother, I create a delicious meal for my family daily. A meat, veggie, fruit, bread, milk, and all I expect in return is for my children to sit quietly at the table, and eat it. But this is how it normally goes. Doug will sleep through the clanning dishes and mixers, and sounds of oven timers. But as soon as we sit down, like clockworks, he gets fussy. So I let him fuss a bit while i dish up and cut up the meal for the other two. We say our daily prayer, and dinertime officialy begins. I simply remove myself from the table to feed the baby, as as Isit on the rocking chair watching my family I observe our dinner conversations.

Hannah "How was your day daddy?" Mommy "Hannah get on your chair" Daddy "It was good. How was your day" Seth "Dad can we play the WII?" Hannah "SETH! I was talking!" Mommy "Hannah, sit right on your cair before you fall" Seth "Dad I got two more minikits on the level with Greedo today" Hannah "SETH I WAS TALKING" Daddy "Hannah what were you saying" Hannah "Umm, at school today..." Seth singing to the tune of starwars.. "DON DON DON DON DON DON DON.... Hannah "SETH" Mommy "Hannah stop touching the applesauce jar, it is glass. Seth Eat, stop singing, use your fork not your hands." Hannah "Daddy, at school today, we pinted with apples. Did you know....Seth , jumping up and down, "I have to go potty!" Daddy "Well go" Hannah "Daddy you aren't listening" Mommy "Seth, stop jumping and go potty."

and it goes on and on and on. Soon Brian and I are done eating, the kids are still sitting ther at the table, attempting to sit still and eat their dinner. And finally when they are done, and down and paying, I sit at the table alone, eat quietly, and realize someday..... someday I will miss this.

Douglas is here

Well, we did it. We made it past Seth's 4th birthday. Seth had a great "Star Wars" birthday.. everything Star Wars. As long as it is a clone trooper or Darth Vader he is a happy boy.

After 4 time of false labor, Douglas finally decided to come. He arrived at 12:45pm on the 9th of September... and is now 3 weeks old (tomorrow). Labor made me realize why I don't particulatry like it. And I do believe that we are done. I am very happy with my children, and family. God has blessed us greatly, and there is no need to populate anymore. I think the was the 6 hours of back labor that made that decision :) Really after the pit it was only 4 hours and only 1 hour after the epidural (waste of money this time). But he's here. I am getting absloutly no sleep. and running on caffiene and chocolate.(no wonder my old clothes aren't fitting)
He has his fussy moments, as does everybody else in this family. He is starting to smile, which I believe is a real smile. and he is gaining weight daily, he is like is Daddy, a monster of an eater.

I am enjoying staying home, and just doing the job I love the best, being mom.
I hope that you all enjoy your first weeks of fall, and the changing seasons!

until next time.

Well, with technically 3 more weeks to go, early-labor has set in. The contractions come and go. I get excited, then dissapointed, then excited.. well you can see the pattern. Many of my "prego" friends have popped thier new bamboosils out, and I am still waiting. It's hard to do, I guess it is one of the great lessons that the Lord teaches us..or tries to teach us mothers.

The kids start school next week and so do I, or at least I am suppose to. Summer is rapidly closing in on us and our round of birthdays are almost over. Hannah turned 5 in August, and Seth's birthday is next week. Now that Hannah is 5 we havfe discovered, new attitudes and have assumed that all the old house rules no longer apply. Once a agian, the lesson of patience..plus diligence.

I have become crafty and am finishing a scrap book, making a baby sling, and creating special "big brother, big sister" t-shirts... all for the sake of sanity. If I din't have these projects, I would be obsessing, more so than I already do, about the time of birth of this baby.

Maybe the word "labor" in labor day will mean something to my achy body.
Have a very happy and restful holiday!

10 weeks and counting!

WE LOVE YOU UNCLE NIK! Oh how they smother, but yet I do not feel badly for this act of true love. Once again we had a great visit with uncle Nik, and are now asking where in the world is Uncle Elmar? Yes Elmar, if you read this only you can answer that question.

Yes, 10 weeks to go..or so. Many of you know Kim..well we are bound to have these babies on the same day? Is there a full moon anytime around our due dates? And Dan shall we sign the premarritial rights now or later.. I am sure you wouldn't mind having a Mccomas?? :) Yes, the 30 week mark is here, and I don't know wether to sleep or cry, that seems to be all that I do these days. The baby is big and growing, and I well am uncomfortable most of all the time. I guess I should have known this stage was bound to come along. Most everything is ready to go, just a few odds and ends that are still needed, or being put together or even found. I can't wait!

Hannah and Seth really enjoyed their trip to Inidana Beach. Once again we picked one of the hottest days of the year, or so it seemed to me. Brian, didn't seem to suffer much form the heat, but come-on, the tilt-a-whril 4 times in a row?? I think you get the picture.

And of course the season of weddings, and our dear Hannah is now planning one. Yes at 4 years of age,, she is talking about her "big day." Of course all of this is due to the catching of the bouquet at a friends wedding. Way to go! So plan she does, and pray I do that all her dreams will come true!

Until the next time!

Halfway there!

Well, only 126 more days to go until we meet the beautiful baby. Many things on our life are happening, starting and ending. Brian finished his half marathon and did great, 1hour and 48 min start to finish! Hannah finished dance and what a recital she gave! Seth and Hannah finish school this week and will have a program on Tuesday night. Then the summer begins! Hannah and Seth are going to do swimming and Hannah is going to try gymnastics, Seth wants to try soccer. We will be busy so I think that the 126 days will go very fast. We are excited about our children and very pround of all their accomplishments! Oh yes, learning to ride a bike, with and without training wheels is always fun!! Enjoy the pictures!

spring?

So after spending the whole day outside in 80 degree sunshine, it is now freezing cold again, and is suppose to be all week. The kids and I planted flowers yesterday and now it is too cold to even think about it. I guess today would be a good day to clean.

Baby Douglas is growing fast. Next week marks the 5 month mark! He likes to move around alot, especially when I am trying to be quiet! The recent garage sales have been good to find a few ods and ins that we will be needing, that I sold a few years ago. OPPS.

We also have 4 beautiful kittens that are growing too. They will be needing good homes!

New News

Well the latest and greatest news is that the baby comming in September is another boy. We are thrilled, well all but Hannah. she says "thats not fair." I just remind her that she is lucky because she is now the only princess! And she is ok with that. We are not sure what we still have left over from Seth, nor so we know where this little one will sleep. But advancements are being made.
Included are the ultrasound pics and some of our recent vacation to Orlando. Enjoy!
